Hi, so after a couple weeks on end of rummaging around the web and local car lots I think I think I may have found the Perfect Bimmer for me. However upon opening the carfax several things caught my attention. Primary of these is that the car had had a lot, and I mean a lot of work done on it when it was still relatively new. For example, immediately after purchase the car had window regulators replaced multiple times along with the brakes, and electrical wiring. I know the regulators and rear electrical wiring were known problems, but all these needing replacement so early on shows signs of a lemon, no? In general if you have a minute would you say the Carfax shows a well documented history vehicle report of typical BMW ownership, or does this car just enjoy shop time a bit to much. Also the car didn't pass smog once(albeit a CA smog test) which was the day after a visit to the shop , is this something to worry about.

I'm not against maintenance at all, it just seems to me that cars that have problems when brand new don't usually get any better over time.
Thanks!!
