Hey, people. It's hitting 100+ degrees around here and I desperately need to replace a melted/bulging AC hose before I recharge the system. It's the low pressure hose that is melted, but both hoses have less than optimal fit because the car was upgraded with a Bosch(R134) compressor. The hoses look like the stock hoses, so I have a question.
When the new compressor was put in, the stock hoses are too long, so they are routed funky and the high pressure is way too close to the headers. I need to purchase some 90 degree adapters to make things fit like I want. I am also considering just buying some Aeroquip, clip style connectors and barrier hoses to make my own to the exact length needed. Can anyone confirm the size of the two hoses (high and low side) connecting to the compressor and at the other end? They look like they are not metric, so to my understanding that would mean they are either #6, #8 or #10. Also, what kind of end do they have? If you have a set of hoses laying around, can you post a pic. of the ends?
Thanks for any help you can offer folks.
