M43 1.9 118CV Oil Recommendation

Hello my friends i need to change the oil motor of my BMW M43 1.9 8V 118CV of 1998, i don´t know which is the best and the correct oil that i can use for this old bmw engine, i thought to use a good syntetic 5W40 for example Motul X-CESS 5W40, which oil do you recommended me?
