Can anybody tell me the procedure for bleeding air out of the hydraulic pump and downstream system after replacing the pump discharge hose on the rear pump. I assumed that after refilling the tank and removing the diagnostic test port immediately after the pump the oil would gravity purge the pump and would then be able to safely start machine and start opening bleeder valves at the hydraulic cylinders to further bleed system...(this was suggested by cat tech). Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how to test a dp sensor to determine if it's good or bad? I know these are sometimes bad right out of the box.

I’m thinking about getting a 3 point hitch plate and then putting a 8’ tractor rake on it for cleaning up limbs and debris we pull out of fence rows to help in clean up after we’re finished. It starts and moves, but no gauges or display when key is turned, or started. I deoxed the big connectors going to the black box (no corrosion noted), checked for ground continuity at ground strap of black box, checked all fuses, checked the two relays inside that fuse box (starter and master, I think).

I also checked the grounds in the instrument fold down access box (all good and clean). Key switch has expected output. I am scared to death it's that black box......please somebody tell...

Have been investigating the method to have a thumb on the Service Port hydraulics on a Kubota mini (U17). Service Port valve has no relief, no passage back to the sump when in neutral, no load check....just a valve that sends fluid to the load and allows a return flow to the sump. Works great for a hammer. Works OK for the tilt bucket cause the tilt bucket is built strong enough to tolerate the full system pressure.

Dont want a damaged/bent/cracked dipper, or, a bent thumb / bent ram...

As you know I have a case580 ck that has just recently developed a new problem. The tractor pulls strong in both forward and reverse, and has a power shuttle, but is very slow to engage when using the shuttle

Hello, I recently bought a case 1840 skidsteer. It is a 92' or 93. I also bought a backhoe attachment that does not articulate. The bucket is the only thing that moves. I haven't tried to hook up yet. I have two hydronic quick connects at the front of the machine and it has an axillary control pedal on the floor.

Does anyone know if this is going to work? I cant get a straight answer from my local case dealer.

Hoping someone has some insight into an issue I've been fighting for a couple of months. The starter bendix on my ancient Snorklelift tb50 lift jammed and ate the ring gear. I had the starter rebuilt and found what appears to be a perfect match flywheel (ring gear looked pristine to me) and installed them. Seemed great at first but then the grinding started and now I'm back to the starter just spinning when I try to start it. I bought a Brand New ring gear but I'm hesitant to swap it...

94 jcb 217s crank no start no power

Hey everyone, been awhile ended up having to pull the transmission in my jcb 217s because of a broken input. Got it all rebuilt and installed back into the tractor. I have a 2002 Komatsu 1.6 tonne with cabin, and 5700 hrs on the clock. Controls are purely hydraulic as far as I know.

I now have a pressure valve on a tee on the retraction side of the lift boom - lowering the boom with the bucket on the ground gives me:

(With the machine cold), I get 2100 PSI at idle and 2500 PSI full throttle
(With the machine warm), I get around 1100 PSI at idle and 1500 PSI at full throttle - when the machine is warm it isn't able to lift the boom except for small jerks when I press and release the pedal

Cat 953c 2ZN2090 suddenly lost all gauges and alternator

It starts and moves, but no gauges or display when key is turned, or started. I deoxed the big connectors going to the black box (no corrosion noted), checked for ground continuity at ground strap of black box, checked all fuses, checked the two relays inside that fuse box (starter and master, I think).

I also checked the grounds in the instrument fold down access box (all good and clean). Key switch has expected output. I am scared to death it's that black box......please somebody tell...

I have a friend that has a Cat D5G s/n RKG02047 that has an issue. The issue is that as he is operating the dozer it will shift into low and will not upshift without shutting the engine off and letting it sit for a few min. and then crank it back up. It will then run fine for a few min. and then act up again. There are now lights that come on or flash when the problem occurs and no codes as he can tell. Anyone have any ideas on this problem I'm at a loss.

I need to pump water out of a pond that has a lot of algae, weeds and other crap in it to use for watering an oval track. I made a cheap spray bar out of PVC with a bunch of holes in the bottom. It works great with clean water but the holes are only 1/4" oval shaped and were getting plugged with crap from the pond. Just bought a 943 and the machine will only move slowly forward in F and R no matter the throttle position. Linkages seem correct. Just ordered new track pedals(frozen up). The only thing I see missing is a linkage from the throttle to hystat. Haven’t changed filter yet but machine Was operating normally 4-6 weeks ago.

I have an S-220 with 1850 hours, low flow, ~2007 model. It got hot and shut down while using a Bobcat shredder attached(see pic). I checked the coolant level, and it was low. I found a piece of hose that goes from the water pump to the thermostat house with teeth marks on it, and a slow leak. See picture. I have the front bumper removed and and lines off except for the elbow on the suction side, but the hose is removed that connects it to the tank. D6C Front Idler Guide Plate Repairs

Was running the D6C on a project about 10 days ago & when I got off I noticed this, a guide plate has 2 bolts either come loose or break off & lost the spacers too. The top two bolts that go into the idler shaft block that splits were both broke too.

Put things back together the best we could & finished the job till we could get her back for repairs this week!

First we tried drilling down through the top holes in the guide plate, but no go.....those Gr 8 bolts are HARD!! Even tried...

bobcat low hydro pressure code...help

2005 bobcat t190 705 hours, low hydrostatic pressure code 05-09 and extremely low code 05-14, 05-15 followed by engine shut down. only does it at idle which is 1150 rpm. quits doing it at 1300 rpm. hi guys i got some trouble on this excavator hitachi EX120-2. The only slow fonction is the boom up and down,
fuse ok
pilot 700psi
pilot sensor changed with the other one
wire changed too
relief valve changed with another one
selenoid valve on the pump changed with the ohter one
tried to change the hoses with another fonction but the problem stay at the same place boom up and down
Spool is good too,

Hello. I have a 2016 Case SR250. The other day it just stopped completely while in use. Long story short, there is power to crank the starter and to the seat sensor/switch but not really anything else. The instrument cluster fuse (10 Amp) blows as soon as I turn on the power but the starter will still crank it wont start though. I suspect there is some sort of electrical fuel control that's run through that fuse as well...? anyhow does anyone have any ideas where to start looking for...

What is the correct ( or most accurate ) procedure to check the trans oil in an old 988b that has a dripping leak around the rear output shaft on the transfer case while it is working ?

I have an operators manuel that says to start and run the machine at low idle for 5 minutes then check the dipstick.

I am looking at buying a mid 1970's model cat 988B. It has been used as a dam building desilting machine for the last decade. Before that it was in a quarry.

Need a new bucket, extended lip vs regular lip low pro?

I have a cat 226b and looking at long bottom vs short bottom buckets. I was planning to get one with teeth and was thinking short bottom would be better. But I wouldn't mind more capacity that a long bottom gives. Am I overthinking this and should just get a long bottom tooth bucket or will it be a bit much for my machine in hard digging? I already have a smooth std 30" bottom bucket that I can convert to teeth and get the new bucket as smooth which is a good option too.

The loader had god power when I was moving the piles and when i parked it. D11R Ripper cylinder failure

I have searched for this and not found anything, feel free to point me in the right direction. I have seen several failures of the years of ripper lift cylinders, either piston pull off or rod eye broken. I have never operated one of these machines, are there any operators that can advise what may cause this failure. Hitachi EX120 bogging issue

Hello, I could use some help diagnosing my excavators issue. I have a 1996 EX120-5 (serial# 1E4P053428) that has a bogging problem when the hydraulics are worked hard or multiple hydraulic control inputs at once.
Originally thinking it was a fueling issue as it would die at idle and would require hand priming before it would restart, I drained and rinsed out the fuel tank, blew out the supply lines and fittings, replaced the rubber supply line to the water separator with new, cleaned the...

One will not stay up for more than a few minutes, other is overnight drop.
According to the repair manual there's a ball & seat in the valve assy on the ram.

I can't find a repair kit & nothing more than o-rings listed in the parts book or on the AGCO site. pics from repair manual and red lines to what I'm thinking should be replaced, the balls and the seats.

Nothing in the parts book shows these pieces, just a couple O-rings.

Do I have to buy the whole 1605965M92 VALVE to fix this?...

Cat D6K2 AC question

The air conditioning in the D6K2 I run (Serial # CAT00D6KAWMR00579) has been problematic this summer. On cooler days/mornings (70° F +/- 5°) the evaporator freezes about every 1-2 hours, restricting airflow. On warmer days it will barely cool, sometimes better, sometimes worse.
Here's what I have done so far.
- Replaced cabin air filters. These are regularly cleaned and replaced.
- Exposed the evaporator coil and made sure it was clean and the temp (?) sensor was embedded in the coil....

A25c won't accelerate

Hi all new to the forum here and looking for info on an A25C. The problem I'm having is that when you put the truck in gear it won't really rev up and go anywhere. If you just move it around at idle it will move fine, but if you try to accelerate it just bogs the motor down and has no power.
The Motor was rebuilt when we got the truck and seems to run good, other than revieg up a bit slow from idle. This kind of leads me to believe it's something with the trans, like possibly the retarder...

Cat 345B shut off and won't start.

My 345 is acting up again and I can't figure it out. It was running and it shut off just like the key was shut off. The throttle position indicator on the monitor is showing 00. I went through the troubleshooting chart for it and everything checks out with the dial. It's not getting any fuel it will fire with ether but it won't run. CAT 966L Aircon not working

CAT 966L loader's air conditioning is not working. The Fan are working. I checked aircon fuse F17 on the fuse box the power is there but if you switch on the Aircon pump switch there is no power going to the Aircon pump clutch. When i tried to check the Aircon switch i saw many wires plugged in to the switch then i became stupid since i didn't have an electrical circuit of the Aircon
