2006 BMW 530xi with fuel injector error

Hi all, just curious if this is a straight-forward issue or a symptom of something larger... and then how to best work through it.

My 2006 E61 N52 wagon has 130k and recently it has been acting up and throwing error 2E33 which reads:
2E33 injection valve cylinder 4 startup in 3 cylinder sequence. Not sure what that means.

From what I have read about the error code it looks like an electrical problem with fuel injector #4.

Here's the symptoms and some discovery:
1) When the car is started in the morning it shakes and vibrates like a misfire. (INPA Rough Idling screen reads cylinder #4 has 6.772 lamda probe voltage and is in red, all other cylinders are in green)
2) If I immediately turn it off and on, then the CEL comes on and still idles poorly.
3) If I let it warm up for 10 minutes then turn it off and on, then it runs well. (INPA Rough Idling screen reads cylinder #4 has -0.693 and is in green)

This has been happening for about 3 weeks. At first it was every couple of days, now it is every day.
I tried a tank of gas with Techron about a week ago and see no difference.

For historical purposes:
- Original ignition coils were replaced 2 months ago (1 went bad)
- The 5-year old battery was replaced a week ago on a hunch it was causing random alerts like flat tire and suspension errors. Whoever put it in put an underrated one in, this one is correct now and matches the battery coding.
- Spark plugs were replaced a couple of days ago, they looked terrible but didn't change anything. iDrive said they had 70k left.

AFAIK the injectors have not been removed.

Yesterday I disconnected the wire connectors on injectors 1-4 (couldn't reach 5-6 without removing the fuel rail) and reconnected them, no change the next day. There's not enough space after removing the connector to test the OHMs, I think I would have to set aside some time and remove the whole rail, perhaps with parts on hand.
Is there any more testing I should/can do without taking the rail off?

If I do take the rail off this involves relieving the fuel pressure from the rail, removing the injectors, installing and possibly repeating to test theories. I've seen some write-ups, is this a good next step?

With the rail off I could swap injector #4 with another, and also test the OHMs... do I need new upper/lower o-rings for all 6 if I remove them? Do I need any special equipment to deal with the o-rings and proper installation in my BMW?

I could order 1 injector and see if that helps... or do I need to replace all 6 at the same time? I've heard about different injector versions, so I don't want to do deal with R&R so I would just get new ones to avoid the version problem (at a high cost).

Anyone else replace their injectors on an E60/E61?

Given the INPA screens for rough idle and the error code what should I do?

Since this is the only error, and it's a single injector error, could it be this easy?

Thanks.
