When I bought the car the master cylinder was bone dry and about every caliper/shoe/clutch cylinder had some kind of rust in it so I'm in the process of replacing or rebuilding everything. since I have every brake line disconnected and master cylinder still out can I flush the brake lines with something to make sure they're clean and fresh for when I fill it with fluid and start to bleed it so a bunch of crud doesn't get in my new cylinders? I was thinking about pushing brake fluid through in a syringe or just shooting brake cleaner through the lines until it comes clear.
Is bleeding a completely dry system the same as a normal brake bleed or is there a special way to do it?
Thanks!
