broken rear glass, more woes

Had the glazier out twice now to replace the hatch glass. The first time they had an aftermarket window which didn't have any wires attached. They then ordered a genuine windscreen from Germany and the glazier came today but couldn't get the triangular part off with the switch in it. I think someone who has owned it in the past may have glued it, as there were other parts glued. Here is a pic of how far he got. From the ETK there doesn't look like there should be anything holding it in now. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a trick to getting it off.

The glazier is going to find out what a new switch will cost and whether the insurance will cover it as he thinks it may have to be broken off.
