Here's a deal: July 10-12 is the Vintage Grand Prix in Pittsburgh, PA. If you attend, you can see the car, buy it & drive home on Monday.
I love this car, very reliable, could use a paint job on roof to be near perfect. Selling because I just bought a one-owner like-new 635CSi California Car and now have 4 BMWs - please buy this one.
I've owned for five years, never used in winter, always garaged; all records available. Recent maintenance included: steering box, Bilstein front struts, stabilizer links, all ignition parts replaced
Body, engine, interior, 15" Borbet wheels very good condition; tires 70% tread.
Engine: Very strong (this is best engine of five 3.5L engines I've owned); always Mobil 15W50.
Clutch and brakes excellent, easy shifting, Red Line MT in transmission, Red Line 90 in differential.
Interior: 8+ out of 10 -Very good no tears or breaks, with exception of ripped stitching on one armrest
Four small hairline cracks in dash -I have dash repair kit, but you can use it once you see how small cracks are.
Needs bulbs in trip computer, needs NiCad in service indicator. Original radio & antenna works
A/C was weak in Spring of 2014, re-filled professionally and has remained excellent
Body: Two tiny dings. Previously has been re-painted everything except roof: very satin surface (maybe repainted but forgot to clear coat?)
One rust spot on front right fender behind headlight (trapped mud, salt & moisture in crevice between fender & headlight housing).
Small 1-2" rust on surface on rocker panels in 3 places -I didn't repair so you can see integrity of body.
Virtually no rust on undercarriage.
Extra identical Borbet wheel without tire. One Borbet has plain black disk instead of Borbet Roundel -fell-out this summer.
