I need help deciding whether or not I should buy a 1991 BMW 525i

Hello all, I am looking to get a car for my senior year of high school and while looking around on Craigslist I saw a 1991 BMW 525i for $1200 that really caught my eye, being new to the whole car buying process I was wondering if you guys could help me decide if this is a good car for me.

Some info about this car:

• 24 years old
• 6 cylinders
• 202000 miles on the odometer
• Automatic transmission
• The owner says that the breaks are new and the tires are in good shape
• Also the radio would need a code.
