Shell oct. 91 v-power nitro+??

What Is that all about!? Have anyone had any experience with this type of gas? They Say "BMW announced that it recommends Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline for the BMW M class vehicle" - http://ift.tt/1IMApCp

Anyone tried it? I didn't liked it on my '91 850i, when its too hot (with A/C on) it would just ping (I think)..
