i have no idea what i'm doing // e34 m62 build

Hey guys, just thought i'd start this thread as i've referred to this forum countless times for help. Hopefully you guys will be able to help me out a little, and this will help people in the future out. Anyways, i bought my e34 (also my first car) in august 2014, not running. It was a 530i 5 speed. super bad paint. Immediately, i replaced the radiator, water pump, intake manifold gaskets, all the usual problems. cut the springs a tad and ran on some cheap beyern 17" wheels with blizzaks for the winter.modified the intake silencer and it actually sounded pretty mean. then mods ensued... vogtland springs, konis up front and billy sports in the rear. kmac stage 2 camber plates, e32 thrust arms and mounted in the e32 holes in the subframe for a widened front track/a little more camber. those were stuffed with m5 oem thrust bushings. uuc ssk, m60b40 intake manifold with the velocity stacks and bosch type iii injectors. dinan tune lol. rebuilt the calipers with solid brass bushing guides and used some hawkes pads and shitty ebay rotors. ecs full stainless steel brake lines. powerflex subframe bushings (i love these!) and lemforder everywhere else. i'm sure theres some other stuff i'm missing, but pretty basic. also got a dslr somewhere around here, so pics start to get moderately enjoyable. also got some style 19s when spring rolled around.

And that's how it sat for a while. Then, the m60b30 blew up on me.. kind of a blessing tbh. in my hot, cramped, 20x10 garage, i pulled the engine. and that is where i'm at today. i've been reading all i can about m62 obd1 conversions, and at this point it's just down to sourcing/ordering parts and finding a motor. did i mention i'm on a very small budget? lol i think it goes without saying, after seeing the pictures.

So far i've ordered a TTV racing lightweight single mass flywheel, e46 m3 trans mounts and revshift m60 engine mounts. currently reading and compiling a list of parts to re-seal the engine i get so it won't be as leaky and unreliable as my m60b30. also trying to find the cheapest e36 sprung clutch/pressure plate combo that will be up to the power. will keep updating if there's interest. i probably forgot a bunch of stuff lol.
