LED headlights/high beams

Yes I know, and I have searched, most threads about this are getting on a bit now, most are over a couple of years old, but LED technology is advancing at an amazing pace, so I was wondering if main/high beams are possible yet? I see horizonleds http://ift.tt/1TfshgG have some impressive looking kits but has anyone actually tried one in a BMW (I am looking to fit high beams led's in my E39) also although my high beams are H7 the bulb first fit's in own little holder that then fits into the reflector (as I'm sure you know) not sure how to get round that either.

Anyway bring on the legalities/mot failure posts etc :rolleyes then lets get down to business ;)
