How many of you tune using the Miller War Chip?
How easy/hard is it to use?
How/where did you learn how to tune? I'm looking to get started learning how to tune my own cars.
I have a Tactrix cable and laptop for my subaru forester xt that I'm very familiar with using Rom Raider and ecu editor for the data logging and map flashing.
I'd like to learn more about doing my own tuning, and have a dyno about 45 mins from my house that I can rent time on. I'm thinking the War chip would be a good place to start since they offer base maps I can use as a starting point and go from there.
Right now I would be tuning my NA 93 325i M50. Eventually I'm planning a turbo build for it. I'm keeping the m50 stock since replacement engines are so inexpensive. That way if i mess up the tune and blow the motor I can get a replacement for about $400 here in my area. That's much cheaper than the built motor I'm putting together for my subaru. That one will be professionally tuned to insure the $6,000 engine runs great.
