For those with experience to share could you please tell me where is the balance point on the transmission?
To take out or reinstall a tranny it is best and easiest to have it balanced so it will very easily adjust position thus allowing a smooth insert into the pilot bearing.
I think it needs to be roughly centered under the drain plug but it could be forward, but I doubt aft, because the bell housing always throws you off.
I have a floor jack with a trans adaptor and know the car will need to be fairly high as the floor jack combo is 10" alone. How high is also a good question. How tall is the bell housing?
