depo headlight inot all on post facelift e39

I have recently acquired some depo headlights for my 02 530i and am wondering if I can just splice the angel eye wires to the stock AE harness at the connector? Or will I need to use the supplied harness? Also I've heard the depo AE's suck so I'll probably eventually put in some ccfl's any suggestions? I tried searching g for the answer to my first question but everything I found was on pre-facelift models
