I'm troubleshooting some driveability issues and found higher than spec resistance on the coil:
Primary: term 15 & 1 spec .5 ohm, measured .6 -.8 ohm.
Secondary: 15 & tower spec 5k ohm, measured 5.89k ohm.
These don't look too bad but they are at least 20% over spec.
There is spark at the plugs, though not the "bright blue" the manual calls for, more of a white.
Car is a 1985 325e. Problem is intermittent unpredictable stalling. Runs well in between times, sometimes for a long time, weeks. I'm going through systems. I'm checking ignition at the moment, have completed fuel up to the rail/injectors.
While I don't think the coil is causing the problems, I would like an informed opinion about the meaning of the over spec measurements.
