2015 X3 Is it worth $45000.00 Ccurrent 3 series owner

I"m thinking about an X3 to purchase. I would probably put 20000.00 down. I like my BMW. I like the X3. However,it is hard to justify spending 45000.00 on a compact SUV.I can purchase a Subaru XT for 33000.00. I even drove a 2016 Kia Sorrento which seemed very solid. My current vehicle is a 2004 325ci. I need awd. I drive about 12000 milws a year.
