Hello, trying to remove the top part only of the dash to examine why the drivers side vents get no air. I've came across what appears to be a one-time rivet holding the top on - is this original? Is it really one-time?
I suspect this was added by a previous owner and I'll have to cut it off or cut the plastic around it, but thoughts welcome.
Whilst I have the cluster out I thought I'd address another long-standing problem - sometimes the fuel or temp gauges will show zero - then you can hit a bump in the road and they return to the proper value. I was thinking a loose connection or bad solder joint, but having peeked inside the cluster I see the dials are connected to the pcb via some long leads - so I'm unsure if the problem is now dial side, or pcb side. Anyone ever have this problem?
Thanks,
