Hello guys again!
So I have decided to replace a couple of things in the cooling department. Last week I changed the oil and the filter and also a couple of hoses and installed a new water pump. Everything went great, cleaned the engine in the front a little bit where I found a lot of dirt and oil and everything mixed up. Anyhow, I double check everything and all the hoses yet I see that the radiator opening connector (to where the upper hose attaches from drivers view) it was broken from the top halfway. I searched everywhere but couldn't find the broken piece so I thought maybe it was already broken so installed the hose anyhow, and it fit. As everything was in place and screw up, I began to pour the coolant in, everything was fine. Yet one mistake, I forgot to read about the two screws on top of the thermostat housing to let all the air out (stupid me:shifty), so I turned on the engine and let it run. I noticed that there was leaks out of that hose and leaks of air trough what seems to be the plastic connection to the metal radiator on the top above the upper hose from the drivers side. I stop the engine and open the expansion cap and a lot of air and some coolant go out. After cleaning it all up I try to start engine yet it does not start, as if it is choking or fuel is not going. After a couple of tries and pumping some fuel into the engine with 2-4 steps on gas pedal and gasing when revving the starter, it starts up. As this was happening, I finally read about the 2 screws on top of thermostat and opened them and let the air and some coolant out. The engine is running and starts fine, yet the coolant leaks from that upper plastic hose connector and bubbles and some coolant leak from what seems a connection between plastic to the metal radiator on top of the radiator (It is located above that cooling hose, seems like plastic and metal are holding together). I turn off engine and clean up. From all of this, it seems everything works but I suspect that the radiator might have a leak from a lot of pressure build up of air in the system in the plastic-metal connection on top, and the broken plastic connection from radiator to the the upper cooling hose. My question is, is it possible to order the side plastic for the radiator? (The plastic has the upper cooling hose and has what seems to be transmission cooling tubes as well). The open tube for the hose is broken and needs to be changed, and I fear that there may be an air leak out of the radiator of that plastic-metal connection. Thank you guys in advance! :)
