Smog Hookup in NorCal

Hey guys,


I live in Fremont. I'm looking to smog pass my 1990 Model car. It is failing emission on high CO. I checked some old posts which mentioned few smog hookup places, but as they are old posts, I don't know, if they are still good to go.


I was wondering if any of the members could point out some such place. I've heard there are many such smog hookup shops in San Jose, but I'm not sure. I'm willing to go as 100 miles to have it done.


So far, I've changed the spark plugs, air filter, engine oil and oil filter, checked the O2 sensor, put in CRC Guaranteed To Pass Emission Test formula two times, drove car really hard immediately before test. In short I've done everything I can think of to have it passed, but it still failed :mad


I'm a student, I bought this car for $1100, and I've already invested $900+ on the car fixing things, and worst part is I'm still clueless on what is causing it to fail the emission test.


Rest assured, I'm a student not some cop etc. I'm willing to pay the smog guy around $200, to just be done with problem. I can offer you $30 referral fee, provided it passes smog from your referred place.


Please, please let me know if any of you know someone who could help me on this.
