The little black buttons which keep the seat belt buckles from sliding down to the floor on our E30, E24 and only God knows how many more Bimmers . . . suddenly no longer fit together! Either the "pin" in the male component is too small, or the hole in the female component is too large (yes, I know: it amounts to the same thing).
It is indeed a trivial issue . . . but how the heck can a company such as BMW screw up something so simple?!? :mad (we are talking O.E. parts here) And where can I find some (NOS? aftermarket?) that are not mis-made? I am using these pieces for a special non-stock adaptation wherein I cannot simply melt the end of pin with a blunt soldering iron to graft it to the corresponding button. I need about eight of them to complete the project.
